One system. Multiple applications.

SeaPattern's system raises electricity output at existing hydropower and builds on the same proven technology across every application. From hydropower plants to defense and off-grid solutions — one platform, adapted to different needs.

The system in brief

More power. Minimal impact. The same proven system.

We analyze each site, size the system and install floating turbines that integrate with existing infrastructure. The solution requires no new dams or interventions in the watercourse.

Market 01

Utilities

Increase electricity output at existing hydropower plants — no new dams, no new permits and no interventions in the watercourse. A site-specific analysis reveals the plant's production potential before installation.

The business model is Hydropower-as-a-Service: SeaPattern delivers, installs and operates the system at no capital cost to the plant owner. Revenue is shared from day one. At the reference plant, the system delivers documented increased output from infrastructure that already exists.

Defense

Local, robust power generation for military operations, disaster response and other mission-critical activities. The system works independently of the ordinary grid.

Unlike diesel generators, the system needs no fuel logistics. The turbines generate continuously, around the clock, as long as the water flows. That delivers resilient power even when ordinary supply chains are cut off.

Development is funded by Vinnova and the Swedish Armed Forces (Försvarsmakten) under the innovation program for civil-military synergies, inspired by NATO's accelerator program DIANA.

Market 03

Off-grid

Reliable, sustainable power generation for locations with no access to the grid. The same proven system enables local energy supply in remote areas.

Where the grid doesn't reach, flowing water can provide continuous baseload power, around the clock and year-round. The anchoring involves no intervention in the bed, and operation is monitored remotely via the SeaPattern Performance Center. The system will also be able to act as a bridge when ordinary infrastructure has been knocked out. After a natural disaster, for example, the turbines can supply power while the grids are rebuilt.
