SeaPattern took part in Bits & Pretzels in Munich on 28–30 September 2026 as part of the Swedish delegation. Sweden was this year’s official partner country, represented by more than 50 startups, scale-ups, investors and ecosystem organisations through Business Sweden’s Scale with Sweden initiative. Germany is one of SeaPattern’s most important markets. The country has around 8,000 hydropower plants, and SeaPattern already has a local presence there through its German subsidiary. Building a strong position in the market requires dialogue with a broad range of stakeholders, and the conference made it possible to meet many of them in one place.

Over the three days, SeaPattern held discussions with potential partners on opportunities for collaboration in Germany. Meetings with representatives of public authorities covered the regulatory processes and challenges involved in deploying the technology at existing hydropower sites, as well as how SeaPattern can contribute to Germany’s energy transition. The company also met investors interested in its continued growth and students from Munich with a deep interest in technical challenges. Access to qualified talent is essential to the company’s continued development, and SeaPattern sees long-term opportunities to engage locally as its presence in Germany grows.
