SeaPattern finalist in E-Prize 2026
SeaPattern’s CEO and co-founder Niklas Boman participated in a panel on sustainable energy transition at the E-Prize 2026 finalist event on 24 September, hosted by Dagens industri, E.ON and Aktuell Hållbarhet.
SeaPattern is one of three finalists in the Sustainable Energy Transition category. During the discussion, Boman highlighted renewable electricity as a foundation for electrification, with the potential to reduce electricity prices, strengthen energy security and support European industrial competitiveness.
Asked what makes SeaPattern a worthy winner, he pointed to the solution’s broad potential impact: additional renewable generation, greater resource efficiency and a more resilient energy system, while preserving ecosystems.
He also highlighted the opportunity to increase generation at existing hydropower sites without new dams or major civil works. SeaPattern estimates the potential in Sweden alone at up to 6 TWh of additional renewable electricity.
