The annual award recognises companies and individuals in Östergötland, Sörmland and Gotland who have made a significant contribution to sustainable development. The recipient also receives SEK 10,000 to donate to an organisation or initiative working with sustainability.

The recognition connects SeaPattern’s development with two priorities for the region’s businesses: reliable energy supply and sustainable growth. Access to affordable, renewable electricity is an important condition for industrial development, investment and electrification.

SeaPattern has chosen to donate the accompanying funds to Svenskt centrum för hållbar vattenkraft, SVC, supporting continued research into sustainable hydropower.
